Yesterday, we wrote about a Weld County Commissioners resolution defending the Second Amendment — and, by implication, registering a protest against a possible assault-weapons ban and implementation of universal background checks. In reply, one reader brings up a city where tough gun laws have done little to end the carnage.

Whereas I think you’re all some real punk thieving scam artists operating a racket. Look at these fascist fools.

Meanwhile, in Chicago, a gun ban only makes that city have the highest murder percentage.

In a true republic, I would get to make the choice myself.
