United Flight 967 turbulence injures dozens: Like Airplane, except not funny

In the movies, turbulence can be hilarious -- but it's considerably less so in real life, as passengers on United Flight 967 headed from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles discovered last night. Injury estimates vary from a turbulence incident over Kansas vary, but Channel 31 reports that thirty people were hurt, one critically -- and the crack over a window seen here shows why.
