Fashion In Action at Figure Yoga (Friday, $5) Catch designer athletic clothes on a yoga-mat catwalk tonight at the Tristan Christopher and Couture Tee Designs fashion show for a cause, which also features magicians, music and a kids/ yoga performance. The cause? Raising money and awareness for humantrafficking.org.

Gangsta's Paradise at DATELINE (Friday-Saturday, free) The two-day opening at DATELINE is sure to be one of the weekend's most intriguing art events. Friday night's zine release party will also include a performance by Thug Entrancer, and Saturday night's opening reception will celebrate a group show featuring work by Francis Brack, Jazzmyn Barbosa, Taylor Barbosa and Molly Bounds, among others.

Muertos in May at Black Vulture Tattoo & Art Gallery (Friday-Saturday, free) Sugar skulls don't have to be reserved for the fall. Celebrate Day of the Dead with this killer art event, which includes face-painting, storytelling and kids' art tables in addition to an impressive group show.

Asian Food Bazaar at the Simpson United Methodist Church (Saturday, $10) Spend your Saturday sampling sushi, manju, chow mein and beef teriyaki at the 64th annual Asian Food Bazaar. Your $10 entry includes a delicious lunch plate.

Cinco de Mayo Festival at Civic Center Park (Saturday-Sunday, free) Honor Latino culture this weekend at Civic Center Park's huge Cinco de Mayo celebration, which spans two days and includes everything from a green chile cook-off to vendors to bands to dance performances.

Free Comic Book Day at Mile High Comics (Saturday, free) Did you know that the Fonz from Happy Days wrote a children's book series? Yeah, us neither. But today you can see Henry Winkler in real life, along with all the cool giveaways that always go along with free comic book day.

Kentucky Derby Party at Bar Car (Saturday, $5) The Kentucky Derby is a good excuse to party, and you can do just that at Bar Car's celebration today, Talk Derby to Me. Put on your fanciest hat, joint in a pizza-eating contest, hear Tomahawk Fox and, of course, watch the derby at this fun bash.

James Brown Birthday Party at Dryer Plug Studios (Saturday, $5) Shake your limbs and celebrate the birth of the godfather of soul tonight at Dryer Plug Studios' James Brown Birthday Party. Performances by the Other Black, Pizza Time and Fast4Wrd will complement a pinata full of shooters, boozy birthday cake and awards for best get down, best hot pants and best cape.

International Dawn Chorus Day at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge (Sunday, free) Get up early to start your Sunday with the sweet sounds of birds chirping. Don't forget your binoculars for International Dawn Chorus Day, which begins with a bird walk followed by breakfast at a local eatery.

A Conversation with Comedian Michel Boujenah at the Mizel Museum (Sunday, $10) French cinema star and comedian Michel Boujenah will delight audiences in a comedic conversation today at the Mizel Museum. See the Les Misérables actor in person while you munch on snacks from Whole Foods Market.
