Friday Flash at 14th & Champa (Friday, free) Using the giant LED screen at 14th and Champa streets, the Denver Digerati will present work by eight artists at this new monthly public art event. See artists from all over the globe present their new media work while enjoying a special themed cocktail from Crave.

Fan Fest 2013 at Sun Enterprises (Friday, free) Motocross fans will get revved up by Sun Enterprisess' motorcycle carnival today. The free party features a bouncy obstacle course, a bike race and autographs from pro riders. Get keyed up on free Red Bull, have your face painted, and revel in in the world of pro motorbiking.

Teen Mixed Taste at the MCA Denver (Friday, 5 cents) Though it's geared to underage audiences, the MCA's teen mixed taste will appeal to all ages tonight with tag-team lectures on topics like Dr. Who & Wu-Tang Clan and Harlem Shake & Wet Plate Photography. Complete with a live Harlem Shake performance, bands and food, this intellectual event should be a treat even if you no longer wear braces.

Wander art festivals at the Denver Pavilions and the Denver Performing Arts Complex (Friday-Monday, free) Downtown Denver is teeming with art this weekend. Stroll around the 16th Street Mall and the surrounding blocks, and you will find both ArtStir and the Downtown Denver Arts Festival -- two awesome opportunities to check out and purchase art from local and national creators.

Denver Day of Rock at the 16th Street Mall (Saturday, free) While you're out browsing art downtown on Saturday, catch a full day of completely free concerts. Bands like Fishbone, My Body Sings Electric, and more will provide music on a number of stages along the 16th Street Mall during Denver's Day of Rock.

Propaganda at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret (Sunday, free) Go to Propaganda for the free Sexy Pizza, but stay for the stellar lineup of free comedy. Joan Rivers' Fashion Police writer Bryan Cook will headline, and there will also by performances by San Francisco's David Gborie, L.A.'s Amber Tozer and locals Tim Messenger and Timmi Lasley. There's no drink minimum here (as there is at some comedy clubs), so this is a great opportunity to catch a show for free (and snarf from free pizza, too). Of course, you can also buy beverages.

Memorial Day Weekend BBQ at the Sidewinder Tavern (Sunday, $7) Hang out and listen to soul, funk and rock tunes from DJ Barracuda at this Memorial Day Weekend BBQ at the Sidewinder, where $7 gets you your choice of burger, hot dog or veggie burger or dog with a side, chips and a draft beer. And if that's not enough, the first fifteen people to arrive on bikes will get a free shot of tequila from what's quickly becoming one of the coziest bars in Denver.

Old South Gaylord Festival at Old South Gaylord Street (Sunday-Monday, free) Get your outdoor festival fix at Old South Gaylord's annual extravaganza. With music from bands like Delta Sonics and Letters From Space, rides, vendors and tons of food, this festival has everything you need for a satisfying day full of fun in the sunshine.

Bluth Brunch at the Sie FilmCenter (Sunday, $10) Marry us, Netflix. Fox's beloved, canceled-too-early show is back, and to celebrate the Reel Social Club will throw an Arrested Development-themed brunch and trivia party. Ten bucks gets you a wristband and brunch, and afterward there will be a free screening of two hours of the recently revived show. Get in the spirit with Josiah Hesse's article about the five most wonderfully awkward themes in the first three seasons.

Memorial Day at the Carousel of Happiness (Monday, free for veterans, $1 rides for everyone else) Spend Memorial Day up in Nederland, celebrating the opening of the Carousel of Happiness, the circa 1910 carousel with hand-cared animals that was restored by Vietnam veteran Scott Harrison. There will be free rides for veterans all day, and $1 rides for everyone else.
