Perhaps a side effect of Denver’s recent development boom and expansion is that this city may have just become an easy mark for reality television — at least judging from the sudden rash of audition opportunities headed our way. Big Brother, The Bachelor, Jeopardy and Wheel Of Fortune all came rolling through town recently, and American Idol will swoop in soon. But if you’re ready for your close up now, this weekend you can audition for a new game show produced by LeBron James.
NBC will hit up the Denver Marriott City Center, at 1701 California Street, on Sunday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., looking for pairs of relatives with big personalities looking to win “epic amounts of money." You can pre-register your audition at NBCGameShow.com.

NBC is looking to an NBA star for its next game show.
The network is teaming with All-Star LeBron James for a game show in which everyday teams of two can compete for life-changing amounts of money, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
James and his Springhill Productions banner are producing the untitled game show, which is in the pilot stage. The series is casting for teams of two — couples, sisters, fathers and sons, etc. — that will compete together for life-altering amounts of money.
Produced by James and Andrew Glassman and his Glassman Media (Average Joe, Three Wishes) shingle, the game show offers people a chance to dramatically change their lives.
The NBC game show marks James' latest foray into TV. He's also an executive producer on Starz's Survivor's Remorse, a comedy inspired by his life that will head into its second season this year.
