Fast forward to the present, where the Williams sisters will reprise and further explore that innocent childhood preoccupation in The History of Weather, a joint exhibition opening today at Gildar Gallery. Through a combination of mixed-media sculpture that emulates the wear of time over eons and paintings of roiling black cloud shapes, the sisters explore the unchangeable and absolute force of nature and its unstoppable effect on civilization.

See The History of Weather at tonight's reception from 7 to 9 p.m.; the show remains on view through August 24. For information Visit Gildar Gallery online.
