Summer camp isn't just for kids anymore: At the YesPleaseMore pop-up shop in the Denver Pavilions, shop co-conspirators Samuel Schimek and Brian Corrigan have set aside the month of August for a weekly series of evening "camps" featuring summery adult diversions like tonight's Denver Handmade Alliance Crafty Demo Expo.

From 6 to 8 p.m., come to the store, located on the second floor of the Pavilions near the Barnes & Noble store entrance, for a DIY wannabe's paradise. The alliance's crafty experts will be demonstrating popular trends in the modern homemade movement, or bring a project you're working on and use YesPleaseMore's co-working space to stitch, bitch and chat it up with others of your kind. Admission is free and an after-party follows at Beauty Bar; RSVP on Facebook or visit the website yespleasemore.com for more information.

As the Colorado Rockies head down the uneven stretch, every game counts, especially the inter-divisional ones, like this afternoon's at Coors Field against the San Francisco Giants. Staff ace Ubaldo Jimenez will most likely take the start versus the San Francisco's Madison Bumgarner beginning at 1:10 p.m. in the confines of Coors Field, 20th and Blake streets; the Giants stand between the Rox and their truest foe, the Padres, who continue to bask in first place. Perfect moment to take in a day game? Let's hope. For tickets go to the Rockies' website, call 1-800-388-ROCK or hit the box office.
