In the midst of a modern DIY craft revolution, more people are resolving to make their holiday gifts, rather than dropping big bucks on impersonal gifts from the mall. And besides, it's fun to really get your hands into the holidays -- and even more fun to do it in a group, with other crafters. Novices do best in a setting where materials and instruction are provided, as they are in recurring Sweet T Tuesday screen-printing workshops, including one that will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. this evening at the Ink Lounge printing studio.

The Ink Lounge experts will take your chosen image -- a black-and-white PDF, something from their extensive image library or your own drawing -- and expose a screen, while you kick back over an adult (or non-adult) beverage; then it's your turn to run up to eight of your own tees (or other flat fabric item). All this, including the beverage, is $20 (bring your own tees).

The unfortunate news is that the Sweet T Tuesday scheduled for tonight is full. Sigh. Not to worry -- registration is still open for classes on December 4 and 11, so you'll still have plenty of time to make and wrap your unique tees and then stash them under under the trees of people you love. Visit Ink Lounge online for information and registration.
