Gallery director Mark Penner-Howell says there's still time to enter and show off your work at the fair, where it will be seen by thousands of visitors August 9 through 11 at the National Western Complex. You can even put a price-tag on your entry and the fair will handle the sale, with no commission taken. The affordable entry fee is $5 online or $7 for walk-ins, and all entries must be delivered between 3 and 7 p.m. on August 7.
And it won't just be an adoring public that will walk through the finished galleries: A team of high-profile judges, including local luminaries David B. Smith, Adam Gildar and Mark Sink, among others, will award those shiny blue ribbons, which come with small cash prizes for all the top picks.
This year's exhibition will also meet the public from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 9, at a formal opening reception -- another innovation at this year's fair -- with live music and free wine samples from local vineyards. You're covered!
