Ratio Beerworks
Vinyl Records Night
Tuesday, April 24, 7-10 p.m.
Ratio Beer Works

Record collectors are a rare and special breed, analog fetishists in a digital landscape who insist on quality and tactility in an era when such things are overlooked in favor of convenience. Ratio Beerworks welcomes vinyl hounds to the taproom on November 28 for an evening of comparing, bartering and taking turns spinning their favorite albums on the brewery's turntables. With no admission fees or big-name DJs, Vinyl Records Night at Ratio is an ideal opportunity to quaff tasty beers, shop for new records at the Something Vinyl mobile store, and dance the night away to a truly democratic playlist. Hello? Denver? Are You Still There? Q&A with Mayoral Candidate Kalyn Heffernan
Thursday, April 26, 8 p.m.
Mutiny Information Cafe

Bree Davies, a local activist, DIY booster, music-scene queen and longtime Westword scribe, has a new podcast dedicated to preserving the character of her native city called Hello? Denver? Are You Still There? As readers might ascertain from the title, Davies and her esteemed guests turn a critical eye on the Mile High, examining the forces reshaping the city in ways that its residents don't appreciate and discussing ways to reclaim their home. For the sixth episode, Davies welcomes Wheelchair Sports Camp frontwoman, activist and recently declared 2019 Denver mayoral candidate Kalyn Heffernan for an impassioned and profanity-laced discussion about how she'd like to address the ways in which Denver is failing some of its most vulnerable residents. Find out more on Mutiny Information Cafe's Facebook events page.
