Stories in Sculpture: Selections From the Walker Art Center Collection
Denver Botanic Gardens
April 29 through October 2

The Denver Botanic Gardens goes modern with this year’s summer sculpture blockbuster, Stories in Sculpture, which brings works by Henry Moore, Louise Nevelson, Isamu Noguchi, George Segal and other big names from the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis to nestle among the flora here through October. Watch the DBG website for a full slate of related events, from tours to classes, scheduled to bloom throughout the summer.
Gayla Lemke, Watch Out for the Undertow
Wynne Reynolds, Flux
Edge Gallery
April 29 through May 22
Opening reception: 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 29

Ceramic artist Gayla Lemke fills part of Edge with her sculptural towers of colorful spherical “chakras” and mask-like faces strewn together in installations, while Wynne Reynolds gets edgy — pun intended — with experiments in fiber and metal in the other half.
Jen Burdess and Anne Hallam: One in Eight
Katharine McGuinness and Jean Smith: Art Angels: 7th Heaven
Ice Cube Gallery
April 28 through May 21
Opening reception: 5 to 9 p.m. Friday April 29
Artist Talk: Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21

As Ice Cube prepares to say goodbye to its digs in the Dry Ice Factory this summer, members Jen Burdess and Ann Hallam jointly explore infertility and identity, while Katharine McGuinness and Jean Smith revive their shared ’90s-era identity Art Angels for a show of interrelated monotypes and hanging ceramic sculptures.
