The show's sixty-some photographs do indeed capture both a cultured peek at Jewish celebrity (Leonard Bernstein conducting and entertainer Fanny Brice mugging at a microphone) and the depth of Jewish sorrow (Margaret Bourke-White's stark images of concentration camp inmates from the liberation of Buchenwald). Here's a short sneak peek.
The show, organized in collaboration with Denver's Michelle Mosko Fine Art, kicks off with a reception from 5:30 to 8 p.m. March 17; MACC and the Singer Gallery are inside the Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center, 350 S. Dahlia Street. See it through May 15.
