Have some snarky fun at the expense of the idle rich in this reality-show parody with a Denver-centric focus on current events and local celebrities. Five name-dropping drama queens and a male host will draw audiences into the fray at this short-run cabaret show, which opened May 3 at the Garner Galleria.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts celebrates women playwrights by showing them the money: Through the efforts of its Women’s Voices Fund, the DCPA Theatre Company is committed to commissioning and producing more plays by women on its stages. The annual Women With Hattitide benefit luncheon provides support for that mission while inviting women to doll up with fancy hats for an impromptu walk on the runway, enjoy a tune from the current production of Sweeney Todd with Kevin Curtis, and dish with the cast of The Realish House Wives of Cherry Creek (see above) in a Q&A session.

T.E.A. continues to champion Asian playwrights and themes with this comic drama from Rajiv Joseph, author of Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, which tells the story of an origami master who mentors a teen paper-folding prodigy.
