Tonight's offering at the Historic Elitch Theatre fundraising film series Film on Friday, Sunset Boulevard stars 1967 Elitch veteran Gloria Swanson in the role she'll always be remembered for: creepy, past-her-prime Hollywood star Norma Desmond, who famously descends her dusty mansion staircase, ready for her "close-up."
BYO lawn seating opens at 7 p.m. for the screening at dusk; the jazz duo of Wendy Fopeano and Marc Sabatella will entertain before the movie. Admission, which benefits Elitch Theatre restoration efforts, is $5 for adults; kids under 14 get in free. For more info, visit the Historic Elitch Theatre online.
