Is there anything sweeter for an autumn person than an October Friday the 13th? Leaves sparkling in the Colorado laser sunlight, plucked free by a crisp breeze, and horror movies playing on every screen, often with a certain hockey-masked murderer stomping around.

And, of course, there are great tattoo deals across the metro area at our many fantastic tattoo shops.

If you're a fan of body art and you've been getting that special itch, there's no better time to get a quickie dip and rip. But much like a rigorous yet rewarding hike, you have to be prepared. Get ready to wait in line, double-check your shop's details (payment guidelines, sign-up protocol, placement rules and color add-on options) and be ready to leave a solid tip. Then, while you cool your heels waiting for that cute li'l Jason mask, read up on Denver's fascinating local tattoo history here.
