A Premiere to Remember on Thursday, July 19 is a 21+ dressy, red-carpet event with a private, early showing of The Dark Knight Rises at the United Artists Theater. Ticket costs support the Walk to Remember organization. Movie-goers will enjoy an advance screening, as well as cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, desserts and an opportunity to meet famed Batman novel author Kevin J Anderson and fantasy/sci-fi novelist Rebecca Moesta. There's an after-party at Dave & Buster's immediately following the movie at 10:30 p.m.
Other movie theaters plan special deals and events to go with the regularly scheduled, post-midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises:
Landmark Greenwood Village's bar will serve up some surprise Batman-themed drinks at its Thursday evening Dark Knight marathon, says bar manager John Butts. And as if Batman-themed drinks weren't seductive enough, this theater always provides free soda and popcorn with each ticket.
The Harkins Northfield 18 theater will present a marathon in its Cine Capri theater, which features one of the largest screens in Colorado; fans will be treated to two free small popcorns, in-theater giveaways and a commemorative lanyard.
Cinemark's marathon features discounted concessions, including $2 hot dogs and unlimited $1 refills on large drinks, as well as Dark Knight peel-and-stick 'chalk' decals; the first 100 ticket holders in line will receive a commemorative event pass.
At Regal Cinemas' marathon event, Batman fans will receive a free small popcorn, and members of Regal's loyalty program will also earn twenty extra credits from Regal Crown Club for each ticket purchased.
AMC's ticket includes a commemorative poster and lanyard, and is available in both IMAX and standard formats.
