On March 14, Governor Jared Polis ordered all Colorado ski areas closed for a week, starting March 15. Please contact event organizers for the status of any event on this list, compiled last fall:

March 29: The Grand Traverse: It's experts only at this team race that covers forty miles over the Elk Mountain Range from Crested Butte to Aspen. Midnight, $420, thegrandtraverse.org.
March 28: Pink Vail: You can ski down the slopes or just soak up the sun at the base of Vail Mountain as part of this fundraiser for the Shaw Cancer Center. $35 plus fundraising, Vail, pinkvail.com.
March 28-31: U.S. Alpine Tech Championships: Aspen Highlands and Snowmass host the slalom, parallel and giant slalom competition for the first time in six decades. Aspen Snowmass, Aspen, 800-525-6200, aspensnowmass.com.
