This Weekend In Stoke: Top five events to administer a dose of adrenaline

Looking to get your blood pumping this weekend? Any of these should do the trick:

1. Winter Dew Tour at Breckenridge. Breckenridge is hosting the Nike 6.0 Open this week to kick off the 3-stop Winter Dew Tour. There are prelims events all day today (see AlliSports.com for full schedule), followed by a 7 p.m. concert by The Cool Kids and finals events all weekend, with Superpipe finals on Saturday and Slopestyle finals on Sunday. Don't feel like driving up or dealing with the amped-up crowds? Tune in to NBC for live coverage starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday...

2. SO-GNAR Mighty Midwest Snowboard Camp Tour at Echo Mountain. If you'd rather work on your own skills than watch others do the Dew, head for the terrain parks at Echo Mountain instead, where Denver-based pro snowboarder Pat Milbery's not-so-midwestern tour makes a two-day stop on Saturday and Sunday before heading across the country and then over to Japan: Snowboarders of all levels looking for some pro coaching in the terrain parks pay $149 ($99 with season pass) for the camp, making it the most affordable on-mountain pro instruction we know of. 3. Bucks-4-Bangers at Woodward Skate Park. Break out your best tricks: 303 Boards and event sponsors Deathwish, és, and Altamont are dropping fistfulls of cold, hard cash at the second annual Bucks-4-Bangers skateboards contest, with an open jam format starting at 2:30 p.m. out at the Colorado Mills Mall. 4. Ratcracker at The Dairy Performing Arts Center. If you've ever snoozed through The Nutcracker dreaming about how much better it would be if the Rat King kicked the Nutcracker's ass and the ballet dancers were replaced by Cirque-style aerial performers including a couple of local burlesque luminaries, you're in luck: The Boulder-based crew at Frequent Flyers Productions was thinking the exact same thing. 5. 2011 Denver Roller Dolls calendar release party. And, last but not least, get autographs from your favorite roller derby demons on Sunday at 4 p.m. at The Atomic Cowboy/Fat Sully's, 3237 East Colfax: The $15 calendars will help support the non-profit Denver Roller Dolls league.
