Opening Ceremonies for the Stompin' Ground Games at the McNichols Building (6 p.m. Tuesday, free)
The best thing about rap music is the steadfastness of the artists repping where they're from. Bring that mentality to tonight's Warm Cookies of the Revolution shindig, because the rep of your 'hood is on the line. Over the next year — while the McNichols Building is undergoing renovation — the group will be holding get-togethers around town centered on the art, culture and issues of various Denver neighborhoods, The opening ceremonies for the Stompin' Ground Games will feature a performance by Ian Cooke, discussions and history lessons. May the best neighborhood win!

Fbomb National Flash Fiction Fest: A Gathering of the Flashy and Flash-Curious at Mercury Cafe (7:30 p.m. Tuesday, free)
Nancy Stohlman is so much a master of the flash style of literature that she even invented the "flash novel." Tonight she and a number of special guests will stay up all night, reading flash at the Merc. Musician Nick Busheff will be on hand, too. You should be, too.

Wednesday Game-Night Meetup at Denver Bicycle Cafe (6 p.m. Wednesday, free)
Meet new friends, form alliances and have fun without a screen in front of your face. Whether you're trying to settle Catan or slapping some Egyptian Rat Screw, there's a game for you at this meetup at the Bicycle Cafe: all you have to do is show up.
