It's fitting, then, that Curious is adding to the intrigue with a couple of sneak peeks of the play, which doesn't officially open until next Saturday, this weekend. Ladies and gentlemen, don your sleuth hats.
"We're calling it a sneak peek because it might change a little before the premier," Friedman says, explaining that it's sort of a practice run; the whole production may yet get some finishing touches. But that doesn't mean it's not the real deal. What you will see is the meat of the play, which is the story of a couple estranged in the wake of a social media scandal, who go to a small town to try to recover and meet a couple of characters that Friedman says "may not be what they seem.
"Your expectations are constantly challenged," she warns.
Luckily, you can get a leg up on everyone else's challenged expectations tonight and tomorrow night at 8 p.m. at the Curious Theatre (1080 Acoma Street), while simultaneously paying less than everybody else to do it: tickets, which you can get at the door or purchase here, are just $10. And what's more thrilling than saving money?
