Owners Eric and Dan Garfinkel obviously designed their Boulder brewery for the young at heart. There are the sherbet-colored bar stools, the Rube Goldberg device made from airplane parts and roller-skate wheels, the array of games -- tabletop bowling and shuffleboard, a supersized Connect Four board -- and the massive snack wall. Cubbies house enough options to make your elementary-school self quiver with anticipation: chips, pretzels, peanuts, Chex mix, beef jerky, corn nuts, Goldfish crackers, Twinkies, sunflower seeds and Spam -- yes, Spam. And while you won't find scowling bartenders manning the taps, that doesn't mean the owners don't take their beer seriously. Try their award-winning dry hopped amber or rye saison and you'll realize just how serious they are.
