This is an event I have created in honor of my sweet 2 year old niece Rylee who we lost two years ago to Neuroblastoma, and for every child who has fought, is still fighting or who have already earned their angel wings. Also for every family who has been faced with watching a little one they love so dearly fight this monster! There is a suggested participation donation of 30$, but any amount you are able to donate is greatly appreciated and goes directly to the cause. (There is a limited space on participants) The event will be held on August 6th, at Belcher Hill Trail in White Ranch Park, in Golden. We will start the hike at 8:00 am so you will want to be at the location to park and locate the group between 7:00 and 7:30 am. This will be a 9 mile round trip hike, come prepared with water, hiking boots, or anything you think you may need. The event will be held at Belcher Hill Trail in White Ranch Park, in Golden. Children’s cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children and 12% of children diagnosed with cancer do not survive. During the last 25 years, the overall survival rate for children’s cancer has increased from 40% to nearly 90%, but for many rare cancers, cure rates remain unchanged. 60% of children who survive cancer suffer late effects, such as infertility, heart failure, and secondary cancers
