Pasquini's Pizzeria

More than 25 years after the Pasquini family opened its first restaurant on South Broadway, the original Pasquini’s Pizzeria is in the hands of daughter Melinda Pasquini. She’s definitely gone her own way, updating the look of the place to that of a building straight out of the family's home town of Lanciano, Italy. She’s also changed the logo and the menu itself, which now features a happy hour inspired by an Italian vacation, including appetizers native to that area and such drinks as a limoncello bellini. At this Pasquini’s, there’s less emphasis on the red-sauce dishes so familiar at Italian neighborhood joints in this country, and more on the simple fare you might find in a true trattoria.
