Red Rocks Amphitheatre

The geologically formed natural amphitheater at Red Rocks comprises monolithic red sandstone formations that provide ideal acoustics for outdoor performances each summer. Since opening in 1941, the legendary venue the only one of its kind in the world has hosted countless national and international acts, from the Beatles to the Police to U2, which filmed and recorded Under a Blood Red Sky here. While concerts are the main draw at Red Rocks in the summer, the venue is open to visitors most days of the year, as is the Ship Rock Grille, located in the Visitor Center at the top of the amphitheater.
