Tangerine

There can never be too many breakfast emporiums, and Tangerine, which Alex Schuler opened in June 2011 next door to Arugula, his farm-to-table dinner restaurant, is a welcome addition to the Boulder scene -- particularly since it also serves brunch and lunch seven days a week. The fifty-seat space -- contemporary, citrus-hued and eye-openingly bright -- has a rise-and-shine menu featuring French-press jolts of caffeine, tangerine bloodies, biscuits with sausage and duck-confit gravy, a bumper crop of pancakes and waffles, and organic, locally sourced eggs done every which way. No yawning here!
