The Hornet

The Hornet took over a Denver institution, Mary & Lou's Cafe, in 1995. Now the nearly thirty-year-old Baker spot with a secluded patio is an icon in its own right. The menu is casual and heavy on comfort food, including lots of gluten-free options like the Honey Stung Fried Chicken; the beer list is approachable; and the dining room is always filled with a diverse group of customers. Brunch is bolstered by a hell of a boozy deal: $5 trips to the build-your-own Bloody bar and double mimosas.
