Today's Song of the Day pushes every nerd button in our nerdy little hearts -- and that's a lot of nerd. The song is 8-bit infused hip-hop with a clever MC who drops lines about classic gaming, smoking weed and even name checks Colorado. His style is a little bit Del tha Funky Homo Sapien, which we can all agree is a good thing for 8-bit nerd rap, right?

The tune is "Gnarcade" from Ground Up Sounds, and if you dig it you can download it from the outfit's website www.groundupsounds.com. As fun as the track is, what really pushes it over the top, though, is the fantastic video which depicts an invasion of old-school video game icons while some dudes just try to snowboard/skateboard around them. Characters from Pac Man, Bubble Bobble, Space Invaders, Super Mario Bros, and more make an appearance. How many can you spot?
