We imagine this has been a pretty bittersweet week for the members of Gauntlet Hair. After being stranded in Montreal for a few days due to a busted van, the dudes have finally made it to New York just in time for CMJ. Though the repairs to the van left them $1,000 poorer, they're arriving to some good news: As they prepare to perform for eager indie-rock enthusiasts from across the country, they're doing so on the heels of garnering a 7.8 Pitchfork review of their self-titled debut, released earlier this week on Dead Oceans. Catch Gauntlet Hair on Halloween at the Larimer Lounge.
