Just two years in, Beauty Bar has become one of the premier homes for vinyl geeks looking to have their aficionado minds blown by one local wizard of wax or another, curating nights of Brit pop, Motown or vintage hip-hop. Tomorrow night, Beauty Bar will play host to yet another sweet night with Heavy Dose, a night described by co-host El Brian as "rock and roll focusing more on psych, prog, fuzz, stoner and basically anything else that you might have playing in the background while you're staring at a black-light poster, tripping your balls off."

After running the Stomp every Friday night at Rockbar for two years, El Brian and Deftron are packing up their gear and starting anew at Beauty Bar with Matthew Novak. El Brian also deejays Colorado Kool-Aid -- a motorcycle-enthusiast night featuring classic country tracks and projected biker films -- with the Chineasy Rider every second and fourth Wednesday at Tooey's Off Colfax. Heavy Dose is set to go down on the third Wednesday of every month at Beauty Bar starting at 9 p.m. No cover means no reason not to get up and get down.
