This week: Satori-C, one-half of the lauded Friends In Stereo duo, has been setting things off in the underground for the past fifteen years, and has worked with an array of local artists including Astra Moveo, Jen Pumo and Orange Peel Moses. Style(s) of music you spin: Tech House, Electro Funk and Dub Step
So what's your story, in 100 words or less? Some DJ / producers are more hype than substance. Satori-C, born Colin Chapman, is not one of the aforementioned men. Chapman has been diligently plugging away in the Colorado underground for a decade and a half now, amassing a modest but respectable collection of career milestones along the way. Friends in Stereo, a collaboration with fellow Denver producer PJ Stroller, was named "Best Club DJ" in Westword Magazine, headlining the second stage of Triad Dragons' Global Dance Fest at Red Rocks, a bowling alley in St. Louis and even appearing at Miami's Ultra. Solo gigs have taken him to NYC, San Francisco, Mexico City and Burning Man.

What other music-related projects are you currently working on? I am now collaborating with The Main Chain in LA, whom is playing the Roxy in downtown Los Angeles on 1.14.09. I look forward to working on a wide variety on musical projects in 2010 with talent from all over the community including but not limited to Aaron Perry of Fanbase Studios, DJ Dragon of the Triad Dragons, Jen Pumo, Sammy T, Ginger Perry, Ashley Bowerman, Redlight and Orange Peel Moses.
What's something happening in the local music scene that should be getting more attention?: Local producers and Label owners
What elements would your fantasy club night entail? The entire multimedia show that Daft Punk tours with. Hope everyone has had a chance to witness that.
