Here's what's good in the Mile High City this week: In concert news, this August, Christie Front Drive is getting back together once again for old time's sake at the Larimer Lounge and Stiff Little Fingers are stopping by the Summit Music Hall. On local radio, Wheelchair Sports Camp, Mesita, Pacific Pride and Wadirum got some spins. Meanwhile, at our local record stores, Tech N9NE's latest continued to sell strong, as did new platters from Bon Iver and Battles. Click through for a full rundown.
This Just In: New Concerts and On-sale Dates
While Christie Front Drive parted ways close to 15 years ago, the group reunited for a gig in 2007 at the Marquis. Anyone who missed the band's killer shows during the mid-'90s already knows the group was one of the finest acts to come out of these parts during that time. But if you didn't have a chance to check out Christie Front Drive in its heyday, the group is doing another reunion show of sorts at the Larimer Lounge on Sunday, August 28. Tickets ($10) are on sale now.
Legendary Irish punkers Stiff Little Fingers, who formed in 1977, hit the The Summit Music Hall on Saturday, August 20. Tickets ($20) are on sale now.
