Here's a convenient, one-stop guide to all the great content you might have overlooked this week on Backbeat Online while you were preoccupied with the alarming news that New Kids on the Block had reunited and released a new album, despite the fact they have been neither New nor Kids for quite some time...

It was a news-heavy week. Some of our top headlines included Earth, Wind and Fire member and East High alum Phillip Bailey being inducted into the school's Hall of Fame, the sad news that the Breezy Porticos are breaking up and the untimely death by hacking of the Denver Message Board. Not to mention a last-minute, Friday-afternoon breaking-news item on 3Oh!3 appearing in Rolling Stone.

In other news-type items, we also had the info on new vinyl releases from Hot IQs and Eyes and Ears, plus a list of the week's top sellers at Twist & Shout.

We brought you a nice selection of live show reviews of Nine Inch Nails, Shearwater and Triclops. We also delivered a wrap-up of our top shows of the summer, in case you missed anything.

The Swayback is in LA recording with legendary producer Andy Johns, and band members took the time to share some pictures and a brief note with us.

We also sat down for a Q&A session with David Marion of Fear Before the March of Flames.

An unintentional nap during the oh-so-exciting RNC speeches led to some unintentional Dixie Chicks-based hilarity for one of us.

Finally, our regular columnists had their say. Mile High Makeout pleaded for help in compiling a soundtrack to his upcoming trip to India, while the Friday Rap-Up sat down with locals BreakEFX and chased down the hottest tips in the rest of the hip-hop world.
