Here's a user-friendly guide to all the great content you might have missed this week on Backbeat Online while you were reeling in shock and horror at the news that the end of era was coming with the impending cancellation of MTV's TRL...

Backbeat Online did Monolith festival in a properly monolithic way -- we liveblogged the whole damn thing, and wore ourselves down to a nub doing it. Read all about Monolith Day One here, and get the scoop on Monolith Day Two here. If all those words are just too scary, you can enjoy the event in handy photographic form with our easy-on-the-eyes Monolith Day One pictures and Monolith Day Two pictures.

Monolith wasn't the only show we got out to. We also brought you live reviews of the dance-party madness of Ssion, Pictureplane and more at Rhinoceropolis and then we headed to Beta to see what DJ legend John Digweed sounds like these days -- er, nights.

In a Fleetwood Mac explosion, we brought you a brand-new Q&A with once and future leader Lindsey Buckingham, plus dug into the vaults for a classic Buckingham feature that had never been online before.

Breaking up is always hard to do, so have a little sympathy for the boys of Ten Cent Redemption, who are calling it quits.

We reported on a number of intriguing developments in the music plus moving pictures department. First off, the Chain Gang of 1974 has a new video, which we embedded for you, of course. Then, read all about Dan Craig getting a song placed on a popular TV show. Finish up your viewing regimen with a handy-dandy PSA about the importance of wrapping your willy, from the boys of Animo.

Don't fret, the visual feast isn't over yet! We delivered a piping hot batch of fresh Swayback in the studio pictures.

Now it's over, but that's okay, because we'll salve the pain with this week's listing of upcoming shows.

Still smarting? Make the pain go away for real with these links to some free MP3 show downloads, including Judas Priest.

In the bummer-for-them department, we reported that DeVotchKa got ripped in a L.A. times review.

In the real-life-bummer department, we brought somber news of Sharon Rawles being hospitalized.

Our regular columnists did their regular things. Specifically, the Friday Rap-Up brought you news about DJ Vajra and other hip-hop happenings and John Common's Scratch and Dent Sale returned after a short absence with musings on the art of songwriting.

Finally, we had a listen to the new Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos and boy, are we digging it! There are worse ways to end your work week than this, I'll tell you what...
