The Open Media Foundation is throwing their 12th Anniversary Party tonight, which is the biggest event in the OMF history. In attendance will be a who's-who of local musicians with an end-of-the-year First Friday bash celebrating artists who have graced their stage and recording studio over the past year, as well as the OMF community. Among the highlights of the evening is the announcement of their Independent Voices Awards. Awards include “Top Rated DOM Show” and “Most Content Submitted," and the biggest award of the night will be presented to Jamie Laurie of the Flobots.

The event will include an Open Music session with Chimney Choir. The band includes members David Rynhart, Kevin Larkin, Kris Drickey, Carl Sorensen, and Tom Plassmeyer, and its sound cannot be contained by a single genre label. If exploration is a genre, they would encompass it.
The event is free and open to the public, this Friday December 4, 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at their space at 700 Kalamath Street. The Open Music Session portion of the evening begins at 8 p.m. Illegal Pete's, Noodles & Co, Cosmos Pizza Denver, and Crazy Mountain Bewing Company will provide food and refreshments. Donations are encouraged at their food and beverage stations.
