Much like Rhinoceropolis, the Silent Barn is an integral part of the worldwide D.I.Y. art community, operating for seven years as a not-for-profit all ages place for emerging performers to connect with audiences. Though the loss experienced by the venue and its dedicated inhabitants was extremely unfortunate, this new start is giving the space a chance to re-group in a different way: With the money raised, the tenants will be moving into a new place altogether.
Once a location is found that is zoned for both inhabitants and performances, funds will go to not only replacing what was lost, but to get the space up to code.
Saturday night's show at Rhinoceropolis starts at 9 p.m. and has a suggested donation of five dollars.
