This past weekend, the Denver graf scene lost one of its more prolific and infamous figures when PREACH passed away unexpectedly.

Word of the artist's untimely passing has inspired a group of his friends to band together to organize a benefit this Saturday to celebrate his life and raise some funds for the family members he left behind.

The event is slated to take place this Saturday, October 2, from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Wash (81st and Washington) and will feature performances from SP Double and American Trash Republic, as well as artwork of numerous prominent artists being shipped in from all over the country. The artist, who made a name for himself both in here at home in the Mile High City and in San Diego, is remembered fondly by friends, family and some of his fellow writers as nothing less than an icon.

"He has put on some of the most famous graff artists in the city and has a fanbase larger than ANY rapper/entertainer out here!" says SP Double. "He has changed the lives of many and made a positive impact in his community keeping the values of loyalty, family and respect. It is a sad day in Denver, to say the least!"
