PULSE Arts, the folks behind the annual Shoe Shine event, are taking their appreciation for art and sneaker culture to another level. This Saturday, June 27, the organization will host their first annual Sneaker Prom at the Denver Athletic Club (1325 Glenarm St.) in an effort to raise money for PULSE Arts, which focuses on providing art and music programs for Denver's youth.

The event is a semi-formal cocktail and dance party, in which guests are asked to dress in evening gowns, tuxedos and suits -- but accented with a fresh pair of sneakers. There will also be an auction of sports memorabilia and art from past Shoe Shine events, and Denver Nugget Chauncey Billups will be honored during a special ceremony. The music will be handled by DJ MU$A starting around 7pm. We've posted the flier after the jump; tickets are $25 pre-sale and $30 at the door.
