In November, we wrote about singer-songwriter Katey Laurel's Kickstarter fundraising efforts to back the recording of her latest album, From Here. After reaching her goal last month -- and exceeding it by $292, to be exact -- Laurel is celebrating the release of that record tonight at the Walnut Room.

Recorded in Nashville, Laurel's eight tracks of accessible soft rock will be available for purchase at the show or from her website directly. Laurel plays tonight with the Denver Dozen Acoustic Variety Show, a virtual mini-showcase of other singular local players like Rob Drabkin, Megan Burtt, Rachel James and many more. This show is 21-and-up, and tickets are $10. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 8.
