With plans to expand into the former Kitty's East space next door, the 2UP recently reopened after being closed for a two-week renovation, which is part of a two-phase construction plan. The second part of the plan involves expansion. The addition, which will increase the size of the arcade/bar by 300 percent and will also include a new live-music venue, is expected to be finished by late fall.

"Phase I of the project was the renovation," says 2UP owner Jourdan Adler. "We opened the location just over a year ago, and it never quite had the feel we were looking for. We were presented with the opportunity to expand, and we took this chance to completely renovate the place. The changes are dramatic. As soon as you step inside you can see the difference. It has the look and feel of a classic arcade."
The 2UP, which is the sister location to the 1UP on 1925 Blake Street, sports 35 arcade games and three lanes of Skee-Ball, and with nineteen machines, it has one of the largest collections of pinball machines in Colorado.
