Following the postponement, organizers talked about a possible June date at another venue, with Sports Authority Field at Mile High among the locations floated.
In the end, however, the rally crew decided to stick with Civic Center Park, and the gathering will take place sooner than expected: Saturday, May 21.
Most important, the two headliners — Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne — remain committed to the new date, and tickets sold for the April 16 event will be honored at the new one. Park access remains free, but pass purchasers get extras.

The latter reportedly involved one of the event's headliners — marquee names were Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne — being unable to get to Denver as a result of the weekend's crazy spring snowstorm.
In the beginning, sources suggested that the rally could be rescheduled for a date as soon as this upcoming Saturday, April 23.
However, organizers are now talking about dates in June and a venue change — and facilities such as Sports Authority Field at Mile High are being floated as possibilities.
For days, forecasters had been warning that a serious storm would hit the Denver area on the day of the get-together.
However, the folks behind the 4/20 rally waited until beyond the last minute to officially pull the plug on the slated April 16 gathering.
As noted by 7News, organizers said Friday that the festivities, which were free (although VIP and backstage access tickets were sold), would happen even if rain or snow hit as anticipated — and they didn't announce that they had changed their mind until 10:18 a.m. on Saturday, nearly twenty minutes after things were supposed to get under way.
What followed were some mighty unhappy posts on the rally's Facebook page.

I strongly encourage you go to small claims court and file a law suit for false advertisement they claimed this was a rain or shine event and it was canceled due to weather I believe this is the definition of false advertising.
No such luck.
On Sunday, April 17, rally organizers, including Miguel Lopez and attorney Rob Corry, met to figure out what to do next.
Afterward, Corry told 7News that the postponement may turn out to be a blessing in disguise, since rescheduling for June would provide the opportunity to make the event bigger and bolder.
He also mentioned the possibility of putting it on at Sports Authority Field, Red Rocks or other major venues.
If that happens, tickets will likely be required and a 21-and-over age policy is apt to be enforced — but the details are pure speculation at this point.
