Accused Masturbating Firefighter Tim Plybon Stalked Me, Woman Says

Last week, we told you about Tim Plybon, a Denver firefighter who's been accused of indecent exposure for allegedly masturbating in a store at the Town Center of Aurora mall.

Now, a woman has come forward to say that Plybon followed her and her girlfriend for as much as two hours prior to his arrest — and during that period of time, she saw him touch himself on multiple occasions.

"At first I thought he was just looking at us," says Ana Lopez. "I didn't realize his fly was open."

As we've reported, Plybon was arrested on June 6 after an incident at From Mexico Con Amor, a store described on the Town Center of Aurora website as offering "a variety of candies, clothing and specialty items from Mexico."

An employee was helping two teenage girls when Plybon entered the store, an Aurora Police Department document maintains.

Shortly thereafter, a man and his girlfriend told officers that they saw Plybon walking "around the store, and the whole time [he] had his penis in his hand."

Plybon, who reportedly became a member of the Denver Fire Department in 2007, is said to have subsequently ignored a stop command from an off-duty Aurora police officer and tried to rabbit before being cornered by a Town Center security guard.

When Lopez saw the item we published, and the photos of Plybon in it, she realized that in the hours before the bust, he had been following her and her girlfriend.

"We were just kind of browsing around, and I kept seeing this guy," she notes. "It seemed odd in a mall so big that I would bump into the same guy in different stores. But then I realized his fly was open. And I noticed that every time I held my girlfriend's hand, his hand was getting closer to his private area.

"I told my girlfriend, and she said, 'Maybe he's just scratching his junk.' But when it kept happening, I said, 'This guy's definitely following us and getting off on us.'"

Lopez says she never saw Plybon expose his penis. At times, however, "his hand was completely inside his pants. It wasn't like he was trying to pull his zipper up or something like that. He was really digging his whole hand in there."

Over the course of an hour or two at the mall, Lopez says she and her girlfriend saw Plybon multiple times.

"I kept seeing him at different stores," she notes. "We saw him at Macy's, we saw him at the Disney Store, we saw him at Hot Topic, we saw him at Famous Footwear, and we saw him at the Mexican store" — From Mexico Con Amor.

"That store is kind of far away in the mall," she maintains. "You kind of have to know about it to see it. But we were sitting in these massage chairs, eating a snack, and he passed in front of us with his hand inside his crotch, and he was looking at us. And that's when I said, 'He's literally been following us all morning. We need to go home now.'"

Upon recognizing Plybon, Lopez says, "it really gave me a creepy feeling. I was trying not to think about what happened, trying to minimize it in my head. But now, it's scary to think about.

"It wasn't a coincidence. We saw him in all these different stores, and in different areas of the stores. So it wasn't an isolated thing. He was doing it the whole day."

Plybon was given a summons for misdemeanor indecent exposure and is currently on administrative leave at the Denver Fire Department.
