Former Colorado House speaker Andrew Romanoff hasn't officially announced his intention to challenge Bill Ritter appointee/fellow Democrat Michael Bennet in the 2010 race for the U.S. Senate. But the mere prospect that he may do so has prompted national media coverage -- and his activities this weekend will only fuel speculation about when, not if, he'll formalize his interest. As documented in SquareState.net's coverage of a well-attended Labor Day picnic, both Bennet and Romanoff showed up to make nice with members of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7, which co-sponsored the event. No reports have surfaced about the pair fighting over the cutest babies to kiss -- but such scraps could be right around the corner.
