Over the years, our panel of Schmuck of the Week experts have cited those deemed worthy of Schmuckification for a wide variety of acts.

Somehow, though, we've never saluted anyone for wreaking furious vengeance on flowers.

Consider that oversight corrected thanks to Bobby Joe Honeycutt, 51, who apparently has a mighty big beef against stems, leaves and petals — or perhaps the Town of Glenwood Springs, whose downtown displays the assorted fauna.

According to the Glenwood Springs Post-Independent, Honeycutt, who's seen in this photo from his Facebook page....

...is well-known to law enforcement in the community.

An arrest affidavit noted by the paper points out that “Glenwood Springs Police contact Honeycutt on a near-nightly basis.”

Apparently the cops don't bust him every chance they get, since he had only two arrests in 2015 (out of approximately thirty since 1992) prior to his latest. The reported offenses include trespassing and harassment, plus a couple that sound appropriate to the latest allegations against him: criminal tampering and disorderly conduct.

At about 6 a.m. this past Sunday, July 19, a chef with the Riviera Supper Club, located near Seventh and Grand in the Springs, arrived to find a slew of planters and flower pots tipped over and/or broken in the vicinity.

Club general manager subsequent shared photos of the damage, including the one at the top of the post, as well as this one....

...and this one:

It didn't take long for the cops to settle on a suspect. A witness to the vandalism described the suspect's clothing to an officer, who'd seen Honeycutt wearing the same thing earlier in the evening.

They found Honeycutt later that morning — and he wasn't especially cooperative.

When law enforcers tried to take him into custody, the arrest affidavit maintains that he "went limp," forcing the cops to carry him.

Honeycutt was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal mischief, second-degree criminal tampering and obstructing a peace officer, the Post-Independent reveals. But he didn't stay behind bars for long.

In a Facebook post after news of Honeycutt's arrest broke, Sickels wrote, "Great news but sad to see him walking around already."

"I honestly can't believe that he's out already," replied another Facebooker. "Almost nightly visits from the police.... There's something wrong with this picture."

Another poster concurred, maintaining that "I have called the police several times concerning Bobby, for assaulting customers, loitering, the list goes on & on.... He gets taken in, same day see him walking around town... Don't think the system is working. Just a thought!!!"

Here's another: Next time, Honeycutt should stop and smell the flowers...instead of smashing them up.

Here's a look at this latest booking photo.
