Brenda Rosales-Montoya Busted in Fatal Colfax-Fox Hit-and-Run

A Denver Police Department tweet about the incident went out at 2:31 a.m. on Sunday, February 8. It reads:

The DPD followed less than twenty minutes later with this grim update:

By 3:36 a.m., the DPD had put out an alert for a specific vehicle, complete with license plate number:

We don't know at this point if a witness saw the crash and recorded the license plate number of the vehicle that fled the scene or if surveillance footage in the area caught a glimpse of the ride in question. However, the results were made clear by this tweet, from 8:14 a.m.:

At this writing, the department has not released a booking photo for Rosales-Montoya, and neither has the victim been identified, pending next-of-kin notification.
