Especially if you get into a fatal car crash a few short hours later.
That's what happened to Broomfield's Britni Bunn earlier this year -- and now, she's been sentenced to eight years in prison for an act that took the life of her boyfriend and injured two others. Photos, a video and details below.
At about 2:49 a.m. on February 20, as we've reported, Bunn was piloting a Ford SUV westbound on U.S. 36., with her boyfriend, Vincent Gibson, 25, in the vehicle with her.
Problem is, she was in the eastbound lane. She soon struck an Acura coupe with two inside, Kendall Stiff and Nicole Leidich. Both of them were seriously injured but survived. However, Gibson, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. Our condolences to his friends, family and loved ones.
Bunn, too, was hurt in the collision, which closed the highway for hours -- and the pain continued for her once police and TV stations like 7News accessed her Facebook page, which featured a treasure trove of images whose public dissemination couldn't have been more ill-timed from her perspective.The background photo for the page, which was quickly removed and remains down at this writing, featured a glamour shot of marijuana....
...while another pic showed Bunn peering coyly from behind pot leaves.... ...and a third found her offering a dog the opportunity to sniff a nug. By the way, police reportedly found a jar of marijuana in Bunn's car after the crash, as well as a baggie thought to contain cocaine.Alcohol proved to be the biggest problem, though. According to the First Judicial District DA's office, her blood alcohol content tested at a staggering .212 (well over double the legal limit) a full hour after the crash.
This finding can't be considered a surprise, given the photos Bunn had shared earlier that evening.

Even before police reps set eyes on the Facebook page, they'd laid the groundwork for arresting Bunn on suspicion of DUI. But shortly thereafter, they discovered she had apparently posted shots of margaritas the previous evening. The first one, seen below, was time-stamped 8:06 p.m. and captioned "YessssssssssssssssssS."
A similar image popped up at 10:38 p.m. under the label "Round two biaaaaaAtCH:" Bunn is said to have admitted to downing a total of five margaritas while hanging at a local bar with pals before hitting the road, with dire consequences.Here's the list of charges filed against Bunn -- seven felonies, two misdemeanors and a traffic infraction:

Then, Bunn was sentenced to eight years in prison and five years parole for vehicular homicide, with a conviction for driving under the influence to run concurrently. A six-year sentence for vehicular assault was suspended.
