The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies will report its sunset review of the state's medical marijuana code in front of the Senate Finance Committee today at 1:30 p.m. in room SCR 354 of the State Capitol Building. DORA's sunset review is slated to recommend four more years of the state's current medical marijuana framework.

On January 26 at 7 p.m., the Wheat Ridge City Council will conduct a public hearing concerning tighter regulations on cannabis businesses within the city at the Wheat Ridge Municipal Building, located at 7500 West 29th Avenue. The proposed regulations would limit the number of dispensaries in Wheat Ridge to five and cultivation centers to three. It would also place stricter logistical constrictions on pot businesses.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, the Vail Symposium will host "Hindsight of Marijuana Legalization," a panel discussion with Gina Carbone, Ben Cort, Sanho Tree and Brian Vicente at the Antlers at Vail. Tickets are $25 in advance at $35 at the door; find out more here.

SAFER is celebrating its ten-year anniversary this month. The group, which was instrumental in pushing for Amendment 64 as well as other local ordinances through the years ,wants you to come to a party on Friday, January 30 from 8 p.m. until closing at Quixotes True Blue, 314 East 13th Avenue. The music of Harmonious Junk will be featured and the shindig is free, though donations to SAFER can be made at GoFundMe.com/SAFER.

THC shows its crafty side on February 6 when "Concentrated Art" opens for a one-night show at 9975 East Colfax Avenue in Aurora. Try your best to avoid brainwash and explosive laughter while watching the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center's comedic musical take on Reefer Madness-- the anti-pot propaganda film from 1936.
