It took quite a while for Aspen authorities to formally accuse actor Charlie Sheen of wrongdoing following his December arrest for allegedly assaulting and threatening wife Brooke Mueller.

But if TMZ.com is right, locals managed to make a charge stick. The site is reporting that Sheen will plead guilty to misdemeanor assault and serve thirty days in jail.

Word has it that Sheen will return to Aspen on Monday to set this punishment in motion -- and if all goes well, he won't be on probation after serving his sentence. Other than remaining on Two and a Half Men for another two years, that is.
