Last month, according to the Parker Police Department, Hayden contacted an underage girl online and eventually set up a meeting. When he showed up at the appointed time and place, he was arrested. That likely put out his fire.

Parker ICAC Task Force Makes an ArrestOn Aug. 7, in an effort by the Parker Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, a 33-year-old male firefighter, Shane D. Hayden, was arrested in Parker on charges of Internet luring of a child, which is a felony. In July of 2009 Hayden contacted a juvenile female in Parker online. The chats turned sexual in nature and Hayden requested to meet the girl for sexual purposes. Hayden arrived for the scheduled meet and was in turn taken into custody.
The Parker Police Department is a member of the national Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force which is funded by a grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
