In an interview for this week's edition of Westword, Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba delivers the sort of charming, sensitive remarks that have made him a favorite of young women everywhere. And several features just added to Dashboard's October 24 gig at Magness Arena only add to his lovableness.

Dashboard has given one hundred passes to Platte Canyon High School, site of a recent school assault that took the life of 16-year-old student Emily Keyes, so that plenty of students, family members and friends can check out the concert for free. Moreover, the band has authorized personnel at KTCL/93.3 FM to sell raffle tickets for autographed items and merchandise associated with the group, with the proceeds earmarked for a scholarship in Keyes' name.

The raffle tickets, which go for $5 a pop, will be available Friday at KTCL's studios, as well as at Magness on show night. Click here for more details, not to mention a look at another photo of Carrabba, who's as nice as he is hunkariffic. -- Michael Roberts
