Arvada Police Department release:
Suspect Arrested in Arvada Homicide(Arvada, CO) -- The suspect wanted in connection with a homicide in Arvada on September 10, has been taken into custody.
Police arrested 32-year-old David Paul Arledge (DOB: 8/16/78) without incident in the afternoon hours of Sunday, September 12, 2010.
He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bail. He is facing charges of first degree murder.
Arvada Police detectives continue to investigate a homicide occurring in the 6700 block of Depew Street on Friday, September 10, 2010.
Police were called to a home in 6700 block of Depew Street on a report of shots fired just after 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening. A 54-years-old male was found shot inside the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has not made the name available to date. (Note: The name should be available on Monday, September 13.)
Police say the victim and the suspect are known to one another; however, detectives are not at a point in the investigation to confirm this until the Coroner's Office makes official identification of the victim.
